As the screen grab shows my feed reader can somehow see into the future!
The other day I was just going through my news reader when I noticed the feed for Science Daily showed the time/date as "in the future." Now if it will just do this with something like sports scores or the stock market then it will really be useful!
By the way, I use Netvibes for reading RSS feeds. It does all sorts of great things like play podcasts right in the browser. There are also plaenty of widgets that work with it. I highly recommend Netvibes. It's not an application, it's all done on the web through the browser.
Isn't that strange how ScienceDaily does that? I've noticed it a few times too.
Thank you for posting this. It is so validating! Sometimes the stories are dated not one but four or five days in the future. The first time it happened, I literally couldn't believe my eyes, as I'd never seen anything like it before.
Although I've never had the pleasure of seeing it actually say "in the future" as you did in the image above! I've submitted a few to Reddit, with the time stamp intact. Here's a sample, Article was available on the internet on 1 Feb 2011, but dated 12 Feb 2011! http://redd.it/fcy95
I use Adobe Reader tracker feature as my RSS feed reader. That way when Adobe updated to version 10, I had the pleasure of getting all my saved feeds wiped. You probably don't get to enjoy that kind of fine service from Netvibes!
